Mentorship

For over three years, I have been working as a mentor within Ethno Sweden, an international platform dedicated to folk and world music and artistic exchange, developing an artistic guidance practice that has long been of deep interest to me. Mentorship, for me, is not only about professional advice, but about accompanying artists in the process of recognizing their own voice, identity, and direction.

During 2025, I mentored five women artists living in Sweden. Like myself, most of them come from other countries and carry with them diverse cultural backgrounds. Their artistic practices are rooted in folk and world music traditions, understood as living, evolving forms of expression.

This mentorship is oriented toward self-recognition: identifying each artist’s unique qualities, strengths, and artistic language in order to define clear, realistic goals. From there, the process offers tools and orientation to support the integration of their music — and themselves as artists — into the Swedish music ecosystem.

In 2026, I will open space for two new mentees. The mentorship is designed as a focused, intimate process that supports both artistic development and professional positioning, while honoring each artist’s cultural roots and personal journey.
